This privacy policy explains what data Nickname SoShareIT, the free nickname generator at nickname.soshareit.com operated by SoShareIT, collects when you visit, generate, submit or vote on a nickname, why we keep it, who else receives it, and how you can ask us to delete it.

1. You do not need an account

There is no sign-up, no login and no comment form for visitors. We never ask for your email, phone number, real name or any game or social media password. If a page ever asks for your game password, it is not us.

2. What we collect

Nicknames you submit

When you add a nickname to a name page, our own nickname server stores the nickname, the name page it belongs to, the time it was sent and your IP address. On the public page we show only the time, your country and a shortened part of the address (for example the first two groups of numbers). The full IP address is never shown on the site. We keep a submitted nickname while it is listed on the site; it is deleted when we remove it or when you ask us to.

Likes, dislikes, copies and generated names

When you like, dislike or copy a nickname, or type a name into the generator, we add one to a daily counter for that nickname or name. These counters power the “top” lists and store no information about who you are.

Favourites saved in your browser

Nicknames you mark as favourites are saved in your own browser’s local storage. They are not sent to us. Clearing your browser data deletes them.

Server and security logs

Like most websites, our web server records each request: IP address, page, date and time, browser and device type. Our security tools also record IP addresses of suspicious traffic to block attacks and spam. These logs are used only to keep the site running and safe.

3. Advertising

The site is free because it shows ads from Google AdSense to some visitors, mainly on mobile. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar identifiers to show and measure ads, including ads based on your interests. To limit how often an ad unit is loaded for the same visitor, our site stores your IP address with a timestamp for up to 2 days, after which it is deleted automatically.

We do not run Google Analytics or other third-party analytics scripts on this site.

4. Who receives data

• Our own nickname server (operated by SoShareIT): submitted nicknames, their IP address and the vote and copy counters, to run the name pages.
• Cloudflare: delivers the site and filters attacks, so it processes every request, including your IP address.
• Google (AdSense): for visitors who are shown an ad, as described above.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with anyone else unless the law requires it.

5. Children

Many visitors are young gamers. The site does not ask anyone for personal details, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Please do not put your real full name, school, phone number or address in a nickname. A parent or guardian can ask us to remove any nickname through the contact page.

6. Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to tell you what we hold about a nickname you submitted, to correct it, or to delete it. If you are in the European Economic Area or the UK (GDPR) or in California (CCPA), you also have the rights those laws give you, including the right to object to processing and to complain to your local data protection authority. Because we do not have accounts, please tell us the page link and the exact nickname so we can find it.

7. Changes and contact

No. Only your country and a shortened part of the address are shown. The full address is never published.

No. The generator, the copy buttons and voting work without any account or email.

How do I delete a nickname I submitted?

Email us the page link and the exact nickname. We remove it from the site and from our nickname server.
